Ixion Conglomerated Astronautics Technologies was founded February 3rd 2003 and was incorporated on November 17th 2005 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The company is also known as Ixion Astronautics or as XCATI. Currently, XCATI has employees and contractors on five continents—North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia.

XCATI serves government, civil, corporate, academic and individual clients in space operations and related activities. Governments from local, county, state and federal as well as international local, provincial and national governments and even supranational governmental organizations can benefit from our services.

XCATI was founded to serve the global space industry as a mission design and planning service and space consultant service specializing in space mission cost reduction.

Today, XCATI provides full spectrum space operations capabilities to its various clients. XCATI is one of the few space companies that provides a full life cycle program—from developing a mission concept and prototype to operating a real-time on-orbit mission—all in house. An integrated program development and management approach provides for a seamless mission with no excess redundancies or cost inefficiencies. Integrated mission concepts save time, money and further serve to minimize scope creep—the expansion of mission to include aspects not originally intended.

Knowledge development, management and diffusion are key operating concepts for our company. XCATI operates two research and development and knowledge diffusion centers:
