What is XCATI?

XCATI is Ixion Conglomerated Astronautics Technologies Incorporated or Ixion Astronautics.

Our company is not a billionaire pet project. We were founded by a group of scientists and engineers with graduate degrees in space, sciences and engineering with the goal of fostering the development of human civilization on the frontiers of space

Our corporation was founded on the 3rd of February 2003 and incorporated in 2005. The company is headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado — a national center for aerospace and space leadership in the civil, corporate and military space sectors.

XCATI operates several locations around the country and globally. The company researches emerging technologies and develops state-of-the-art space technologies and satellite mission profiles, performs flight testing for spacecraft (experimental and operational), designs and constructs flight-ready satellites as well as manned spacecraft, and is capable of meeting stringent client demands via consultancy services across the space field. 

How is XCATI different from SpaceX?

XCATI and SpaceX were founded at approximately the same time (within 18 months of each other). SpaceX has become the global leader in space launch. XCATI has become the global leader in the design and development of off-world operations mission planning and supporting technology development. SpaceX and XCATI have a greater likelihood of being cooperative partners rather than competitors.

Is XCATI sustainable?

We have been committed to environmental issues since our inception. XCATI's Environmental Preservation Office (EPO) strived not only to protect the environment but to preserve it - not only on Earth but everywhere we have a presence.

XCATI has developed the Environmental Preservation Operations Protocols, or EPOP, to guide the preservation of space and other celestial bodies.

Why is Space so important?

Life on Earth has had a home here for billions of years, but as history has taught us one stray asteroid can end life as we know it. If humanity is concentrated on Earth any planet-wide catastrophe could result in the eradication of the human race. Asteroids, nuclear war, supervolcano eruption, coronal mass ejections, stray gamma ray bursts or even unknown threats from space could end human life on Earth.
When humanity becomes a spacefaring civilization we are guaranteed survival as a species from a planet-wide disaster. The next step in human evolution is to become a spacefaring civilization. It is essential we, as a species, take this step—as soon as possible.
